The judging of competing works at the Sodaye-Simorgh section of the 2021 Fajr Film Festival has kicked off.

The jury members of the 39th edition of the biggest Iranian cinematic event have started reviewing and judging the received works.

Mohammad Ehsani, Sareh Bayat, Morteza Pour-Samadi, Bahram Tavakoli, Nima Javidi, Jamal Sadatian and Mostafa Kiaee are the members of jury panel at this year’s edition of Fajr filmfest.

An additional deadline has been dedicated to the directors who could not send their works to the secretariat of the event within the prescribed time.

The FFF coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran every year.
